Printing Photos From Your Instagram
Instagram is one of the most popular photo sharing sites in the world. Thousands of people use it to share photos and quickly build an online following. If you’re a dedicated Instagram user and you want to immortalize some of your favorite snaps in a print, check out some cool, free printing apps.
Third-Party Printing Apps
There are a ton of companies that are happy to take your photos and print them for you. They’ll create a number of products and mail them directly to your home.
To create a variety of novelty items that feature your images, the most popular app to use is Print Studio. It’s an easy-to-navigate, free app and it’s one of the best ways to print Instagram photos directly from the site to create a variety of products, including prints, framed prints, photo strips, posters, photo books, greeting cards, and magnets. Another option is PostalPix, a free app that directly accesses Instagram to print your photos.
For a truly unique way to send postcards, choose an app called Postagram to mail postcards to loved ones using pop-out Instagram photos. You can send them along with a personalized message for a dollar each.
Printing Photos as Polaroids
While they may have gone the way of the dinosaur, several recent polls on websites have indicated that many people miss Polaroids and would buy them again if they revisited the market. In the meantime, there are a few easy ways to print digital photos as Polaroids.
There is a free Polaroid app that you can download to your computer called Poladroid. The beauty of this app is that it works on both Mac and Windows, and it’s simple to use. Just drop-and-drag photos into the app and your image will appear. Then simply print your photo as a Polaroid on your printer at home. Since this app doesn’t require any special compatibility, just make sure your printer is filled with high-quality ink before you print, to create the best images.
Printing Off Your iPhone or iPad
If you need to print of your iOS device, using an Apple feature called AirPrint, you can learn how to print wirelessly from your iPhone or iPad.
AirPrint allows you to wirelessly print nearly anything from an Apple device, and it’s one of the best ways to print your photos from Instagram, as well as maps, website content, and material from third-party apps. While you may need to check if your home or office printer is AirPrint compatible, the feature will still work on any printer. If the printer is compatible, the setup will be much easier.

How to Use the AirPrint Feature
If the printer is compatible, just connect your Apple device and printer to the same Wi-Fi network, and that should complete the set-up. If your printer isn’t compatible with the AirPrint feature, simply download an interface app onto your desktop, like O’Print or HandyPrint, and connect all three devices (phone, computer, and printer) to the same Wi-Fi network. As long as the interface app is running on your desktop as you print, you should have no issues using the AirPrint feature to print the best photos from your Instagram or other social media pages.
Once you connect your device, you can test the connection by opening up a note on your Notes app and select “Print”. The printer should appear as the device indicated for printing, or you may have to tap the Printer field to scan the network. Once your printer appears, you should be ready to hit “Print” and enjoy your photos. The speed at which this happens is dependent upon your Wi-Fi network.
Printing Off Your Android Device
Printing off of an Android used to be difficult, as the process involved installing the marginal Google Cloud Print app, then sharing your photos with the app for printing. Fortunately, Android has streamlined the process and made Cloud Print a part of the Android operating system, so learning how to print wirelessly from your Android is easier than ever.
Cloud Print not only prints photos, but it also works with all MS Office-based applications like Word and Excel, as well as PDFs. As long as the app supports printing, you can easily print with your Android. The Facebook mobile app does not support printing, so you can’t print from Cloud Print, but getting the best photos off your Instagram to print should work, as it supports printing. Gmail, Google Docs, and other Android staples are also designed to work well with Cloud Print.
